Imported from Friesland in 2005 this exceptional full papered (ALL horses in his pedigree are Ster or better) young stallion is very special. Melle is sired by the outstanding young approved Friesian sire WIBE 402 a son of the preferent stallion OEGE. WIBE is also out of a TSJERK daughter, a sire known for his modern structure, excellent movement and outstanding ability to sire an extremely high percentage of 1st and 2nd premie offspring.

When we first saw Melle in the Netherlands he was not offered for sale because his owners and trainer planned to keep him there to take him for stallion approval as a three year old. However, after seeing his movement when turned out to play and on close scrutiny of his flawless conformation we knew we had to have him as the stallion prospect we would import to the United States. A month later he arrived at Sans Souci in North Carolina.

Because of the extreme trotting talent, both in his pedigree and exhibited by him personally, we expect MELLE to be exceptional as a saddle seat style mount. With his “hooky” ears, long well set neck and extreme hock and knee action we can hardly wait to see him in competition under saddle.

Not only is Melle beautiful and talented he is sweet dispositioned and eager to please, a true joy to be around! The calm yet elegant demeanor and wonderful trainability so treasured in the Friesian breed are strongly exhibited in Melle’s approach to all that is asked of him.
