Refund & Return Policy
This policy explains refund, return, exchange, and cancellation terms for horse deposits, live horse sales, boarding and training services, farm visits, and eligible tack or farm-product purchases from Freshian Horse Farm.
Live Horse Sales Are Subject to Special Terms
Horses are living animals, and their sale, return, exchange, and refund terms differ from ordinary retail products. Please read this policy and your written sales agreement carefully before placing a deposit or completing a horse purchase.
Our Refund & Return Commitment
Freshian Horse Farm aims to provide clear, fair, and transparent terms for every horse sale, service booking, and product purchase.
Freshian Horse Farm (“Freshian Horse Farm,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides this Refund & Return Policy to explain when refunds, exchanges, credits, or returns may be available. Because our business includes live horses, boarding, training, lessons, farm visits, and equine products, different rules apply to different types of purchases.
By placing a deposit, purchasing a horse, booking a service, attending a farm visit, or purchasing tack or farm products, you agree to the terms stated in this policy and in any written sales agreement, invoice, boarding contract, training agreement, or receipt issued by Freshian Horse Farm.
If there is a conflict between this policy and a signed written agreement, the signed written agreement will control. We encourage all buyers to ask questions before placing a deposit or completing payment.
Freshian Horse Farm may update this policy at any time. The version published on this website at the time of your deposit, purchase, booking, or order confirmation applies to that transaction.
Live Horse Sales
Horse deposits and completed horse sales are subject to special live-animal terms.
Written Agreements
Signed contracts, invoices, and receipts may contain additional transaction-specific terms.
Clear Refund Terms
We explain when refunds, credits, exchanges, or returns may be approved.
Definitions
The following definitions help clarify how this policy applies to horses, services, and products.
To avoid confusion, Freshian Horse Farm uses the following terms throughout this Refund & Return Policy.
- Deposit: A payment made to reserve a horse, service date, boarding stall, training spot, or other farm-related reservation.
- Live Horse Sale: The purchase of a horse, pony, foal, or other live equine from Freshian Horse Farm.
- Service: Boarding, training, lessons, clinics, farm visits, evaluations, transportation coordination, or other equine services.
- Product: Tack, grooming supplies, feed-related items, farm merchandise, apparel, or other physical goods sold by Freshian Horse Farm, where applicable.
- Refund: A partial or full repayment of money paid for an eligible purchase or service.
- Exchange: A replacement horse, product, or service credit offered in place of a cash refund.
- Return Authorization: Written approval from Freshian Horse Farm required before a product may be returned.
Horse Deposit & Reservation Policy
A mandatory deposit is required to reserve a horse and remove it from general availability.
A deposit is required to hold any horse at Freshian Horse Farm. The deposit secures the buyer’s opportunity to complete payment, arrange transportation, schedule a pre-purchase examination if applicable, and prepare for pick-up. Until a deposit is received, the horse remains available to other interested buyers.
Unless otherwise stated in the horse listing, invoice, or written sales agreement, the standard deposit is 10% of the advertised purchase price. Certain horses may require a larger deposit, including trained performance horses, breeding stock, imported horses, or horses held for an extended period.
Deposits are applied toward the total purchase price of the horse. The remaining balance must be paid in full before the horse is released from Freshian Horse Farm.
Deposits are non-refundable if the buyer cancels the purchase, changes their mind, fails to pay the remaining balance, misses the agreed pick-up window, or cannot arrange transportation. This is because a deposited horse is removed from active marketing and Freshian Horse Farm may decline other qualified buyers during the holding period.
If Freshian Horse Farm determines before pick-up that a horse has developed a significant undisclosed injury, illness, or health issue that materially affects its suitability for sale, the farm may offer a comparable replacement horse, apply the deposit toward another available horse, or issue a refund at the farm’s discretion.
A deposit is not a trial period, return right, or guarantee of future performance, soundness, temperament, fertility, or suitability for a particular discipline unless expressly stated in writing.
Deposit Summary
- A deposit is required before a horse is held or removed from active availability.
- The standard deposit is 10% of the purchase price unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- The deposit is credited toward the horse’s purchase price.
- Deposits are non-refundable if the buyer cancels or fails to complete the purchase.
- Refunds may be considered only when Freshian Horse Farm cancels or materially fails to fulfill the sale.
Refund & Return Terms for Horse Sales
Live horse sales are final once payment is received and the horse is released, except where a written agreement provides a specific trial, veterinary contingency, or exchange right.
Horses are living animals and cannot be treated like ordinary retail merchandise. Once a horse has been paid for in full and released from Freshian Horse Farm, the sale is final unless a written trial period, veterinary contingency, exchange right, or other return term is specifically included in the buyer’s sales agreement.
Freshian Horse Farm discloses known material information about each horse to the best of its knowledge. However, horses may change in condition, behavior, soundness, performance, or health after leaving the farm due to transportation stress, management changes, diet changes, exercise, injury, illness, or factors outside the farm’s control.
A refund will not be issued because a buyer changes their mind, experiences a change in personal circumstances, finds a different horse, experiences buyer’s remorse, or decides that the horse is no longer suitable for their needs after pick-up.
If a written veterinary contingency applies, the buyer must follow the exact process and deadline stated in the sales agreement. This may include obtaining an examination from a licensed, independent veterinarian, providing written veterinary findings, notifying Freshian Horse Farm within the required time frame, and returning the horse in the same condition in which it left the farm.
If a return or exchange is approved in writing, the horse must be returned in the same or comparable condition, free from new injuries, illness, neglect, abuse, significant weight loss, altered branding or markings, or unauthorized farrier, dental, grooming, or training changes. Return transportation is the buyer’s responsibility unless Freshian Horse Farm expressly agrees otherwise in writing.
Any approved refund may be reduced by boarding fees, veterinary costs, transportation costs, damage repairs, training costs, administrative fees, or other documented expenses incurred by Freshian Horse Farm.
Refunds May Be Considered When:
- Freshian Horse Farm cancels the sale or is unable to deliver the horse as agreed.
- A written veterinary contingency applies and the buyer follows all required steps and deadlines.
- A written trial or exchange period applies and all conditions are met.
- A documented material error was made by Freshian Horse Farm in the sale process.
- The farm determines that a horse became unsuitable for sale before pick-up due to a significant health issue.
Refunds Will Not Be Issued For:
- Buyer’s remorse or a change of mind.
- Failure to arrange transportation or complete pick-up on time.
- Normal changes in weight, coat condition, fitness, or appearance.
- Behavioral changes after the horse leaves the farm.
- Injuries, illness, or death occurring after pick-up.
- Failure to provide appropriate care, feed, shelter, fencing, or veterinary attention.
- Unsuitability for a discipline, skill level, breeding goal, or personal preference unless specifically guaranteed in writing.
- Costs related to transportation, boarding, training, veterinary care, farrier care, or equipment after pick-up.
Trial Periods & Veterinary Contingencies
Trial periods and veterinary contingencies are available only when specifically stated in a signed written agreement.
Freshian Horse Farm may offer a trial period, veterinary contingency, exchange option, or return right for a particular horse. These options are not automatic and must be clearly stated in the horse’s sales agreement, invoice, or written communication.
If a trial period is offered, the agreement will state the trial length, return deadline, buyer responsibilities, condition requirements, transportation responsibility, refund or exchange terms, and any fees that may apply.
During any approved trial period, the buyer is responsible for providing proper care, feed, water, shelter, fencing, supervision, and veterinary attention. The horse must not be sold, transferred, bred, raced, competed, altered, or subjected to unsafe handling unless the written agreement specifically permits it.
A veterinary contingency may allow the buyer to have the horse examined by a licensed independent veterinarian within a stated period. If the veterinarian identifies a significant undisclosed condition that materially affects the horse’s suitability for the buyer’s stated purpose, the buyer must provide written veterinary documentation within the required deadline.
Routine wear, minor injuries, normal variations in condition, manageable behavioral issues, or conditions disclosed before purchase generally do not qualify for a refund or return unless the written agreement states otherwise.
If a horse is returned under an approved trial or veterinary contingency, it must be returned in the same or comparable condition in which it left Freshian Horse Farm. The buyer may be responsible for return transportation, care costs, and any documented damage or deterioration.
Refund Policy for Boarding, Training & Lessons
Service refunds and cancellations depend on the type of service, notice provided, and whether the service has already begun.
Freshian Horse Farm may offer boarding, training, lessons, clinics, evaluations, farm visits, and other equine services. Refund and cancellation terms vary by service and are stated in the applicable service agreement, booking confirmation, or invoice.
Boarding Services
Boarding fees are generally due in advance for the agreed boarding period. Once a boarding period has begun, fees for that period are non-refundable unless Freshian Horse Farm agrees otherwise in writing. Buyers wishing to end boarding should provide the notice period stated in their boarding agreement.
Training Services
Training fees reserve the horse’s space, trainer time, facilities, and scheduled program. Once training has begun, fees for completed sessions or elapsed time are non-refundable. If a horse is removed early from a training program, the buyer may remain responsible for the full agreed program fee unless Freshian Horse Farm approves a partial credit in writing.
Lessons & Clinics
Lesson and clinic bookings may require advance payment or a deposit. Cancellations must be made within the notice period stated at booking. Late cancellations, no-shows, and missed appointments may be non-refundable or may require payment of the full session fee.
Farm Visits & Evaluations
Farm visits, horse evaluations, and pre-purchase-related appointments may require a deposit or scheduling fee. If you need to reschedule, contact Freshian Horse Farm as early as possible. Missed appointments without proper notice may be non-refundable.
Refunds for services may be reduced by costs already incurred, including reserved stall space, trainer time, feed, handling, facility use, veterinary coordination, or administrative expenses.
Refund & Return Policy for Tack & Products
Eligible tack and farm products may be returned only with written return authorization and within the stated return window.
If Freshian Horse Farm sells tack, grooming supplies, apparel, farm merchandise, or other physical products, eligible items may be returned within 14 days of delivery or pickup, unless the item is marked as final sale, custom-made, personalized, clearance, or otherwise non-returnable.
To request a return, contact Freshian Horse Farm before shipping or delivering the item. Approved returns will receive written return instructions and a Return Authorization number. Items returned without prior written authorization may be refused, delayed, or deemed ineligible for a refund.
Approved items must be unused, unaltered, clean, and in their original packaging with all tags, accessories, instructions, and included materials. Items that have been used, washed, damaged, modified, exposed to animal hair or odors, or removed from resalable condition may be declined or subject to a restocking fee.
For hygiene, safety, and biosecurity reasons, certain items may not be returned once opened, used, or removed from original packaging. This may include bits, supplements, feed-related products, grooming supplies, protective equipment, blankets, wraps, boots, and other horse-related items.
Original shipping charges are generally non-refundable. Return shipping is the buyer’s responsibility unless the return is due to an error by Freshian Horse Farm, such as a damaged, defective, incorrect, or unauthorized item.
Eligible Product Returns
- The return request is submitted within 14 days of delivery or pickup.
- The item is unused, unaltered, clean, and in original resalable condition.
- All original packaging, tags, accessories, and documentation are included.
- Written return authorization has been received from Freshian Horse Farm.
- The item is not marked final sale, clearance, custom-made, personalized, or non-returnable.
Non-Returnable Items

- Clearance, discounted, or final-sale merchandise where stated at purchase.
- Opened or used supplements, feed-related items, grooming products, or sanitary items.
- Bits, halters, wraps, boots, blankets, or tack that has been used or altered.
- Items damaged due to misuse, neglect, improper cleaning, or normal wear.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation terms depend on whether the transaction involves a horse deposit, service booking, or product order.
Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing by email or through the contact method provided in your purchase confirmation. Verbal cancellations may not be recognized unless confirmed in writing by Freshian Horse Farm.
Horse Deposits
If a buyer cancels a horse reservation, the deposit is non-refundable. If Freshian Horse Farm cancels the sale or cannot provide the horse as agreed, the buyer may receive a refund, replacement horse, or credit at the farm’s discretion.
Service Bookings
Service cancellations must follow the notice period stated in the booking confirmation or service agreement. Cancellations made after the deadline, no-shows, and missed appointments may be non-refundable.
Product Orders
Product orders may be cancelled only before the item is shipped, customized, engraved, monogrammed, or otherwise prepared for delivery. Once an order has been processed or shipped, the standard product return policy applies.
Cancellations After Release or Delivery
Once a horse has been released from Freshian Horse Farm, or a product has been delivered or picked up, the transaction cannot simply be cancelled. Any refund or return request must follow the applicable terms in this policy and the buyer’s written agreement.

If a product arrives damaged, defective, incorrect, or incomplete, please contact Freshian Horse Farm within 7 days of delivery or pickup. Include your invoice number, a description of the issue, and clear photographs when possible.
Freshian Horse Farm will review the issue and may offer a replacement, repair, store credit, or refund depending on the circumstances and product availability. Do not discard packaging, tags, or documentation until the issue has been resolved.
For live horse sales, concerns about a horse’s condition must be raised according to the written sales agreement and any applicable veterinary contingency. Buyers should document the horse’s condition at pick-up and notify Freshian Horse Farm promptly if a concern arises.
Refund & Return FAQs
Answers to common questions about deposits, horse returns, service cancellations, and product refunds.
Is my horse deposit refundable?
Horse deposits are generally non-refundable if the buyer cancels, fails to pay the balance, or does not complete pick-up by the agreed deadline. A refund may be considered if Freshian Horse Farm cancels the sale or materially fails to fulfill the agreement.
Can I return a horse after pick-up?
Live horse sales are final after release unless your written sales agreement includes a trial period, veterinary contingency, exchange right, or other return term. Horses cannot be returned simply because the buyer changes their mind.
What happens if a horse does not pass a veterinary exam?
If your written agreement includes a veterinary contingency, follow the exact deadline and documentation process in that agreement. Freshian Horse Farm may offer a refund, replacement horse, credit, or another resolution depending on the circumstances.
Can I cancel a boarding or training booking?
Cancellation terms depend on the service agreement. Once boarding or training has begun, fees for the elapsed period are generally non-refundable. Advance notice may be required to avoid additional charges.
Can I return tack or farm products?
Eligible products may be returned within 14 days with written return authorization. Items must be unused, unaltered, clean, and in original condition. Some horse-related and sanitary items are non-returnable once opened or used.
How long does a refund take?
Approved refunds are usually processed within 5–10 business days, although banks, card issuers, and payment providers may require additional time.
